Soft, Purple, Fade - SBS Tutorial #1

Hey. If you aren't already aware, SBS means Step-By-Step. This way people won't get confused between the number of SBS and video tutorials I've done. (;
So, here we go. This is what it'll hopefully look like...

What You Will Need

You will need;
  • White kohl eyeliner
  • White liquid eyeliner
  • Purple volumizing mascara
  • Black lengthening mascara
  • Any dark purple eyeshadow
  • Any lighter purple eyeshadow
  • White eyeshadow
  • Luxe lipgloss
  • Lipstick which matches your skintone
  • Light pink blush

Step One

First off, you need to use your white kohl liner and white liquid liner.
Simply line the inner corners or both eyes with both liners.

Step Two

Second, use your purple volumizing mascara and swipe that over both eyes.
Then use your black lengthening mascara and do the same as above.

Step Three

For this next step, you'll be using your dark purple eyeshadow.
Create an oval on the outer corners of your eyes with the shadow.
I recomend using a hairstyle which covers one of your eyes, so you'll be able to use more eyeshadow on the one eye which isn't hidden.
Go over the oval as many times as you wish.

Step Four

Next, you need your lighter shade of purple, and you will need to put it next to the darker purple, overlapping slightly.
Go over this as many times as necessary.

Step Five

Use your white eyeshadow and put it next to your light purple, slightly overlapping.
Now you can blend all the colours together, so they look less like blocks of colour.

Step Six

Now that we've finished with the eyes, lets move onto the lips.
Put one layer of nude lipstick over your lips (or a lipstick the same colour as your skintone) and then add a layer of Luxe lipgloss. This will draw more attention to your eyes, but still leave your lips looking glossy and noticeable.

Step Seven

Finally, add a soft, pink blush to your cheeks to complete this look.

Step Eight (optional)

This step is completely optional, but I added Sunny Bunny lashes but only on the bottom lashline.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and that you will use it as your guidelines for your own medoll on www.stardoll.com.
Please leave a quick comment and tell me what you thought of my very first SBS tutorial!
Also, if you have tried this out on your own medoll, feel free to leave me a tinypic link in the comments.

Thankyou! (:

  1. I usually don't do that much colour. Can you do a black and white look?

  2. Risse, sure. (:
    I'm gonna post my Hayley Williams inspired one and then I'll do a smokey eye one. I've done a video one, just search SlipknotXxBVB on YouTube. (;
